The timeless charm and glamour of classic yachting returns to Port Hercule for the 15th Monaco Classic Week La Belle Classe, one of the most important events in the classic yachting calendar.
Among those setting sail for Monaco are the immense classic schooners of the International Schooner Association, considered to be outstanding examples of naval architecture thanks to their combination of grace, power and sophistication. A range of vintage motorboats will also be present, revving their engines in the YCM marina alongside a fleet of 12’dinghies. And the spotlight is shared by period motor yachts such as the SS Delphine, which is celebrating its 100th birthday during the event. Launched in 1994 and organised by the Yacht Club de Monaco, this biennial by-invitation event brings together all the major players in the traditional yachting community, whether powered by wind or engines. The Principality comes alive during the five-day event, with a series of regattas, motorboat trials, chefs’competitions and style contests all testifying to “the art of living at sea”. This unique gathering reflects the Principality of Monaco’s indissoluble attachment to the sea and to its maritime heritage. A century of innovation and elegance is waiting to be discovered, from 8 to 12 September 2021.
