Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are already registered for the Monegasque tournament as Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters organisers prepare to welcome the world’s top tennis players alongside the ATP No. 1 and No. 2. The definitive list of players can be found on the website and several new features are on the agenda. 2020 sees the opening of a cocktail bar in place of the Rolex boutique on the Monte-Carlo Country Club terrace, while American artist Lee Wybranski has designed the poster for this 114th edition. Another highlight is the mini-tennis exhibition to be held on Saturday 11 April in the new Place du Casino gardens with this year’s two best players. Lastly, the tournament will be kicked off by titleholder Fabio Fognini at the draw.  Taking place on the Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo terrace at 6.30pm on Friday 10 April and being broadcast live on Monaco Info as well as the channel’s Facebook page.  As a reminder, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, organised by SMET (Société Monegasque pour l’Exploitation du Tournoi de Tennis), is the No. 1 European tournament in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category. And Tournament Director Zeljko Franulovic has just announced that the ATP has awarded the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters “the Award of Excellence for most improved venue in 2019”. This award recognises the new overall infrastructure inaugurated last year, including restaurant, players’ lounge and interview room.
