Giacometti is, of course, all about the human form, scale, and space. A strong personality and one of the major modern sculptors of the post-war period. But beyond the filiform silhouettes he created in plaster or bronze, the artist also distinguished himself at painting, drawing and printmaking. This retrospective presents 14 sequences of 230 works accompanied by photographs. Visitors are immersed in a journey recreating the spirit of the artist’s studio and the questions that marked his creative process, curated by Emilie Bouvard. An exhibition marked by enchantment, that unique view of reality he described as “marvellous”, addressing not only Giacometti’s favourite themes but also his solitude, doubts, and relentless work with his figures.
