This classic silent film by Robert Wiene – which marked the debut of expressionism on the big screen – returns for a show that combines music and images on 22 November at 8 pm. Accompanied by a composition by Stéphane Fromageot and screened in partnership with the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco, this magnificent film is permeated by the characters’ psychology, lighting and trompe-l’oeil effects.
