Musée océanographique de Monaco

600 students in the running

The museum’s immersive “Polar Mission” exhibition, which gives visitors the opportunity to explore the Earth’s polar regions and their biodiversity, will continue to run until 2024. The Monegasque temple to the sea is also running a major competition called “Oceano pour tous”, in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco
Foundation. The goal of the contest is to reward projects that focus on sustainable development, and in previous years was reserved solely for students in the region. This year, however, it has been opened up to Monegasque, French and international establishments. After an initial call for projects, 25 classes totalling 600 students were selected, and given support by the museum. On 13 June, three prizes will be awarded to the most ambitious projects that benefit both the environment and humans, in the presence of the competition’s patron, Estelle Lefébure. It’s a way of helping to raise awareness among the next generation as to the value of ecocitizenship.
