Held in the magical setting of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, these concerts have an intimate feel due to the artists’ close proximity to the audience. They kick off in flamboyant style on 4 May with fiery singer Catherine Ringer performing the greatest hits of Les Rita Mitsouko, blending madcap humour, gravity and derision.
Then on 15 and 16 May it’s the turn of Magma, the oldest and most original of France’s progressive rock bands, to light up the stage. David Hallyday is also making a grand comeback on 28 May, two years after his last Parisian concert at Le Trianon. He’ll be stopping off in Monaco as part of his 2020 tour to perform songs from his confessional album J’ai quelque chose à vous dire.
